“Bridging the Gap” between Tourism and the Community in the Face of Disaster
Sonoma County Hospitality Association is hosting a forum to start a conversation between the community and the hospitality industry to actively support each other during a disaster. There needs to be a willingness to be prepared with resources and plans that are inclusive of all residents within the local community. Moderator Dr. Nancy Brown, will be joined by a stellar panel of forward-looking hospitality/tourism and local emergency leaders. We are a whole community – no one should be left behind.
Join us as we examine our existing partnerships between local emergency operations centers and the hospitality industry in co-managing disasters, such as earthquake, wildfire, flood, and other hazards. It should be a whole community (residents/tourism visitors) approach to emergency and disaster planning.
Provide and assist in the development of Disaster Preparedness Resources that make sure your local neighbors/residents and our tourism guests/properties are all informed and on the same page.
